Teleconference Series for Homecare Aides: The Caring Connection
A teleconference series exclusively for homecare and hospice aides has been scheduled starting September 10, 2009 and running through June 10, 2010. Each teleconference is scheduled from 3-4 p.m., the second Thursday of each month. Cost per agency/per phone line is just $100 for PHA members and $160 for non-members.
Each teleconference will include a powerpoint, post-questions and a free drawing for prizes. Conducted by registered nurses, the topics are varied and provide agencies with effective training at a reasonable cost. Plus, aides will have the opportunity to discuss issues with other aides across the country.

Nurse Assistant Day is celebrated in June each year. This teleconference will focus on the aide's role in communicating effectively with patients, families and other members of the team. Faculty will also highlight the valued role of the in-home aide during this special month.
